Anyone who follows me on Twitter or Instagram knows that I love sky photos, and more precisely, sunset photos. Quite frankly, it’s just what I’ve always gravitated toward. There are photos of me as a kid, sitting on the steps of our beach house vacation rental, staring longingly at the sun rising above the ocean. A couple decades later and not much has changed, though I’ve largely traded sunrises for sunsets.

Every Tuesday, I, along with my #FriFotos co-hosts, Jonathan Epstein, Charles Yap, and Stephanie Diehl, announce a new theme for the week. Then on Friday, more than a thousand people from around the world share their photos all day on Twitter using the #FriFotos hashtag. It only seemed appropriate then for me to share some of my favoirte sky photos here on the blog, since I do have so many from around the world. And that’s what I love about this theme, that no one photo from any one day from any one place around the world is the same. And even if it’s similar, the way one views and interprets it is different.

See some of my all-time favorite sky photos from around the world below, and share some of your favorites on Twitter (as well as Instagram if you’d like) with the #FriFotos hashtag.
