Photo Essay: Riviera Nayarit's Sayulita, Mexico

You guys, Sayulita, Mexico. It. Is. Awesome. It's artsy, it's surfy, it's beautiful, and it has perhaps the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen. Did I consider just staying and never coming home? Absolutely. Should you go? Absofreakinlutely. On my latest trip, I took a very impromptu vacation to Mexico's Riviera Nayarit stretch of coastline, which is most notable to many because of Puerto Vallarta. However, beyond the all-inclusive hotels of Puerto Vallarta, just an hour north, is the artsy, surf town of Sayulita, Mexico. In a word: Magical.

I spent my week staying just outside of Sayulita (10-minute golf cart ride or 25-minute walk), in the jungle of the Riviera Nayarit at Haramara Retreat, a yoga retreat that's about as of-the-grid as you can get, where your accommodations are open-air, thatched-roof, and only lit at night by oil lanterns and candles. Yes, please.

Below, find photos from what was an amazing week in Sayulita, Mexico. Okay, so perhaps I got carried away with the sunset photos. But they were really that good!
