California Photo Essay: Spring in Los Angeles in Photos
I don't mean to brag, but I'm not sure if I've ever seen it so beautiful in California. Snow-capped mountains, lush green rolling hills, and cotton-candy sunsets are dotting the landscape of California. And you needn't look far to notice that it was a record-breaking winter, where even in L.A., flowers are blooming and shades of green are dotting the hills. Fittingly, it seemed high time then to showcase spring in Los Angeles in photos. Spring has always been one of my favorite seasons in California. Days are longer, temperatures are warmer, sunsets are prettier, and spring skiing is a half-day drive away. Los Angeles, especially this season, is no exception to that rule. While this time of year can often be warm and dry in Southern California, it's looked and felt an awful lot like spring. Even the last week has been a mash-up of comfortable days, crisp evenings, and the occasional afternoon rain shower. See, Los Angeles can have seasons!
The last few weeks have marked my return to Los Angeles, after living up north for the winter. And while I've only spent a total of a few years in California, I've never seen it this beautiful in Southern California. As such, I've tried to spend as much time as possible outdoors, road-tripping the coastline, going on hikes through the Santa Monica mountains, taking sunset walks, and naturally, enjoying the occasional al fresco meal. So in my latest California photo essay, catch a glimpse of spring in Los Angeles in photos through my eyes below.
