Two Night Giveaway at a Hyatt Hotel
**Congratulations to Laura Walker from A Wandering Sole for winning the two-night giveaway at Hyatt. Between here and Facebook, I had nearly 150 entries.
That's right; it's time for our first giveaway and this month I'm giving away a couple rooms to any Hyatt hotel of your choice. Hyatt is one of my favorite hotels, having stayed at their hotels more than any other brand. The brand varies, from the business-style Hyatt Place, to the luxury Hyatt Regency, to their Hyatt resorts, to the new boutique-style Andaz.
The hotel giveaway is in conjunction with a new partnership between Hyatt and JP Morgan Chase. Hyatt and Chase have teamed up to create the first Hyatt-branded credit card. This is in addition to some of the current promotions Hyatt is already running, including their 10K promotion that gives reward points to frequent travelers. The purpose behind the card was a result of surveys that showed that 60% of travelers don't understand their loyalty programs. The Chase credit card is meant to simplify how to earn points at Hyatt and further reward frequent guests to their hotels. There is a $75 annual fee, but some of the key features include:
- 3 Gold Passport points for every $1 spent at a Hyatt hotel and 1 point for every $1 spent elsewhere, with no limits to the points you can earn.
- Upgrade to Hyatt Platinum status, which means more rewards, including 15% point bonus on each stay.
- Travel Protection
- No foreign transaction fees.
Now to the giveaway itself. It will run from today, Saturday, November 6th, until Sunday November 21st at 11:59 PST. At that time, I'll draw one random winner. Each person to enter must be at least 22 years old and is allowed to enter up to two times. The first way to enter the drawing is simply by leaving a comment below, answering the following question: "what's the top thing on your bucket list that you absolutely won't compromise with and why is it number one?" An example comment would be: "The number one thing on my bucket list is to trek through New Zealand because it's where Lord of the Rings was filmed". The second way to enter is by going to Facebook and liking The Traveling Philosopher Facebook Page.
The winner will be announced on November 22nd and will have 3 days to claim their prize before another winner is chosen.
