Photo Essay: Fall in Breckenridge, Colorado
I’m just going to be honest. I’ve always felt like most of Colorado’s ski towns (such as Vail, Aspen, and Keystone) just ran together. Kind of like a Western, where once you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all. But wait all of you Coloradans who may be all up in arms after these statements. I really hadn’t given most of Colorado’s ski towns a proper chance, in part because that’s what they were, and I didn’t get into the ski/snowboard culture until the last couple years. And then I experience fall in Breckenridge this week (hosted by GoBreck).
You guys, let’s just talk about Breckenridge, Colorado in the fall. It’s like all the best fall foliage destinations got together to have a baby and out popped Breckenridge. And at times, such as when I was hugging the cliff edge of Boreas Pass (or gasping for air at 12,000+ feet), I felt like I was atop the Alps. The fact is, I was wrong (not the first time) about Colorado’s ski towns, especially Breckenridge.
But I’m not going to sit here trying to persuade you to this fact either, but rather just show you this week in photos. I’ll be sharing more about my trip over the coming weeks.
